Alleen Maar Nette Mensen (Only Decent People) is a Dutch comedy-drama based on the bestselling novel by Robert Vuijsje.

David Samuels is a young Jewish man growing up in an upper-class family in Amsterdam. Although his parents have high expectations for his future, David is searching for something completely different.

Fascinated by women from different cultural backgrounds, he begins exploring relationships outside his familiar social environment. His search for love and identity leads to unexpected situations, cultural misunderstandings and confrontations with his own prejudices.

Combining humour with social commentary, Alleen Maar Nette Mensen explores themes of identity, class, cultural differences and relationships in modern Dutch society.

An interesting addition for collectors of Dutch cinema and contemporary European films.
