🎬 Falling Down (1993) is a gripping psychological thriller starring Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall, directed by Joel Schumacher.

Set during an unbearably hot summer day in Los Angeles, the film follows William Foster (Michael Douglas), an unemployed defence worker whose life is slowly falling apart.

Stuck in a massive traffic jam, frustrated by his personal problems and overwhelmed by the pressures of modern society, Foster suddenly abandons his car and decides to walk across Los Angeles.

What begins as an ordinary journey quickly turns into a disturbing series of confrontations.

From an argument in a convenience store to increasingly dangerous encounters throughout the city, Foster's frustration gradually transforms into unpredictable and violent behaviour.

Meanwhile, Detective Martin Prendergast (Robert Duvall), a police officer approaching retirement, begins investigating the unusual incidents occurring across Los Angeles.

As the situation escalates, Prendergast realises that the mysterious man behind these events is becoming increasingly dangerous.

With Foster determined to reach his estranged wife and daughter, the two men's paths move towards an unforgettable confrontation.

🎬 A Powerful 1990s Thriller

Falling Down explores themes of social frustration, alienation, personal crisis and the pressures of modern life.

Michael Douglas delivers one of his most memorable performances as a troubled man whose growing anger pushes him beyond his limits.

Robert Duvall provides a compelling contrast as the experienced detective determined to prevent further violence.

Featuring intense performances, dark humour and thought-provoking social commentary, Falling Down has become a cult favourite among fans of psychological thrillers.

The film was also nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival.

A fantastic addition for collectors of 1990s cinema, Michael Douglas movies, psychological thrillers and cult classics.
