Northern Exposure: Season 1 introduces viewers to the quirky residents of the small fictional town of Cicely, Alaska.

Young New York doctor Joel Fleischman expects to work in a major Alaskan city after completing medical school, but instead finds himself assigned to the remote town of Cicely. Adjusting to his unusual new surroundings proves challenging as he meets the town’s colourful and eccentric residents.

Funny, warm and wonderfully offbeat, Northern Exposure became one of the most distinctive television series of the 1990s.
