Surfer, Dude is a laid-back comedy starring Matthew McConaughey as professional surfer Steve Addington.

After travelling the world in search of the perfect wave, Steve returns to Malibu and discovers that the surfing world around him is changing. When his new sponsor wants him to participate in a virtual-reality surfing project, Steve refuses to compromise his free-spirited lifestyle.

Things get even worse when the ocean suddenly goes completely flat and Steve is forced to reconsider what surfing—and life—really means to him.
